National War
DogS Monument
Blue Hills Dog & Cat Shoppe has become very active in supporting the
building of The National War Dogs Monument in Washington D.C.  This
memorial represents the military working dogs used by all U.S. Armed
Services in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations to support
military ground operations since WWI.  Many of these dogs were brought
home after their service and hailed as heroes, except after the Vietnam
War.  These dogs were considered expendable equipment and either
euthanized or given to the South Vietnamese Army.

After learning about the National War Dogs Monument, to date we've
raised over $5,000 by doing dog walks and benefit dinners.
